The Beechcraft A36 Bonanza is a six-seat, high-performance, retractable-gear, single-engine, low-wing general aviation aircraft designed and built by Beechcraft for the general aviation market. Fitted with a 300hp TIO-520 Continental engine this aircraft was targeted at the air taxi market and personal/family transport use, the aircraft was a huge success with more than 17,000 built. The Bonanza line has been in continuous production longer than any other aircraft in history being first flown in December 1945 and still being in production to this day. With its proven track record, ruggedness, and reliability the Beechcraft Bonanza continues to prove a popular choice in general aviation.
The Beechcraft Bonanza is fitted with six seats in total(including pilot seat), configured in a club seating layout. Air Frontier operate two of this type from our Darwin base. Their streamlined design makes them faster than many other aircraft in its category, with pilots often saying that it has a "built in 10 knot tailwind".
